NDT - Thiroyd - not feeling good on it

I have been on NDT - Thiroyd (from Thailand) for 2 months and not feeling great. In fact I feel rather acidic and toxic, have developed heartburn and am sweating alot. Gutted as was really hoping I would feel better on it but close to going back on Levo. Anyone else had this experience?

Juliette71, how much Levothyroxine were you taking, and how much Thiroyd are you now taking?

Hi there. I was taking 100mg levo and now taking 2 grains of Thiroyd - did build it up slowly.

Juliette71, you may be overmedicating. 2 grains Thiroyd is equivalent to 150mcg Levothyroxine. Perhaps you could order a thyroid test including FT3 from Blue Horizon or Genova via thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin...

If you aren't overmedicated you might try Thyroid-S instead of Thiroyd.

I have found since going on Thiroid that I appear to need less of it. I was on 2 grains of ERFA, but 1/2 to 1 grain of Thiroid is sufficient for me at present.
