Dora5, Cytomel is a brand name used for liothyronine (T3) by manufacturer Pfizer, hence there is no such thing as 'good quality Cytomel'. Cytomel is what it is There are other brands of liothyronine, from different manufacturers. Some people prefer one brand over another, but it is an individual thing that's not necessarily quantified by 'good or bad quality'

Thank you RedApple for your reply 😊. I do realise that Cytomel is a brand name. I did not write my post very well. However, trying to find where to buy Cytomel online, all I kept getting is body building websites which were selling other brands. I should have entitled my post T3 and enquired about T4 😊.

Thank you miranda_n 😊. You did get my post as it was intended. All I wanted is a PM with a link to a tried supplier.

I'm on T4 for Hashimotos but without much improvement, if any. I got all the hypo symptoms I had before I started it.

I did question my body's efficiency at converting T4 to T3 and the doctor ordered FT3 level to be checked. This came back within range, however at the very low end. Unfortunately, the fact that it's within range means I won't be prescribed T3, despite not feeling well at all.

I am to try NDT but now I'm considering that T3 might be a better option as I'm struggling to raise iron levels for the past 9 months.
