T3 can it cause post menopausal bleeding

Have had 20 T3 added to my thyroxine for a month now - have had some brownish discharge which looks like old blood for the past 2 days - as I am 65 it is not period related. Has anyone else had this? I just wondered if it is T3 related?

I had it when I started on Armour. My GP sent me to a gynaecologist who said it was probably the Armour and, as long as it didn't happen again, ignore it. It hasn't happened again.

Thank you for your reply - was this after you had gone through the menopause and how long have you now been on Armour? Did the bleeding last for long? T3 seems to be helping me in other ways and maybe like you it will be a one off thing. Thanks again

Yes, I had gone through the menopause about a year before. The bleeding lasted about 4 days I think; it was a few years ago.
