Below is the result of a blood test I've had. Can anyone suggest what it means?
Thyroid function test - (FS6355) - Normal
Serum TSH level 1.65 mlU/L 0.30 - 4.50mlU/L
Serum free T4 level 18.1 pmol/L 10.00 - 22.00pmol/L

Do you take thyroid hormone?
If not your results look really good. TSH is low which is good and FT4 is high which is also good.
So was that before or after the doctor lowered your dose from 200mcg of Levo to 125mcg?
ihb3goto,
'Normal' means the result falls within defined parameters. Low-normal TSH is good but high-normal TSH isn't. Conversely, low-normal FT4 isn't good, but high-normal FT4 is.
TSH 1.65 (0.35-4.50) is low-normal and is unequivocally euthyroid. TSH >2 would indicate the thyroid was beginning to struggle to produce thyroid hormone.
FT4 18.1 (10-22) is high-normal, also unequivocally euthyroid.
I've just noticed you are on Levothyroxine. TSH just above, or below, 1.0 is usually more comfortable for people on Levothyroxine with FT4 in the upper quadrant. Your FT4 is just shy of the upper quadrant.
