Hi, I didn't have the same reactions when I started but they sound serious to me, possibly an allergic response? I'd call your doctor if I were you. Let him/her decide if it's normal. :-)

Fairyeyes, it might be an idea to check with your pharmacist whether it might be an allergic reaction if you can't get hold of your GP over the bank holiday.

Mercury Pharma, Actavis or Wockhardt are the UK manufacturers of levothyroxine. They all use different 'fillers' in the tablets and you could be having an allergic reaction to these 'fillers'

If you look at the boxes that the levo came in, then it will tell you which one of the 3 that it is.

Mine is Wockhardt.

Fairyeyes, If you're still having the palpitations when you need a new prescription ask the pharmacist for Actavis or Mercury Pharma to see whether you do better on one of them.

I had very unpleasant palpitations on Mercury Pharma but less on Actavis and Wockhardt.
