I currently take levithyroxin I started of on a 150mg a day. Now I'm on 175mg, I'm still getting a cough on and off and sneeze a lot as well. And getting tied a lot, a lot of head ache as well. I'm not managed on 175 and get a lot lot proem to go with it. I lost my thyroid to cancer two years ago. I went on holiday last week instead of putting on weight I've lost 10 pounds in a week. And was eating all the wrong food all week. How can this be right.
Thanks haze

I had thyCa three years ago. I've also lost weight on Levothyroxine, gained when I stopped it, and promptly lost it when I resumed Levothyroxine. I also had a lot of problems making me more unwell than I was prior to surgery, but I'm well now on Levothyroxine + Liothyronine (T3).
There's a fair bit of research showing thyroidless patients don't always do well on Levothyroxine as their FT3 level is often suboptimal and the addition of T3 can be helpful.
If you post your thyroid results with ranges (figures in brackets after results) members will advise whether you are optimally medicated.
It might be worth asking your GP or endo to test ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate which are often low/deficient in hypothyroid patients causing musculoskeletal pain, fatigue and low mood similar to hypothyroid patients.
