Erfa Thyroid v Armour thyroid

My GP has prescribed Erfa for me instead of Armour as a trial. At the mo I'm taking 2 1/2 Armour and have worked out that 2 1/2 Erfa would give me 87mcg T4 and 20mcg /T3 against 90 mcg T4 and 22mcg T3 Armour. So, do I just take 2 1/2 Erfa straight away?

I found switching from Armour to ERFA that I could simply replicate the dose and I was fine.

Thanks Hypopotamus - when I asked the GP he said he wasnt conversant with this medication!!!! So I had to ask the experts on here. Thank goodness for all you knowledgeable people.

Depends on your intolerances really. I can't take Erfa because it contains maize starch as the bulking agent, which I am very intolerant to. So I stick with Armur which doesn't have it. I will say that I've heard nothing good about straight swapping though.
