First endo appt! Went horribly..

So I had my first endo appt this morning and I'm really struggling to understand this. He said I have hashimoto's yet I tested neg for antibodies. He totally dismissed NDT. He said t3 means nothing. I said that being on levo for so long has made my symptoms worse, especially since I've upped them he said I need more to feel better. He put me on 100/125 alternate days and said see you in 3 months? That's it. I waited all this time for that... Not even an explanation! I know most people self med with NDT but I'm not brave enough to self Med. also the thought of buying online scares me. Would I be able to ask for a second opinion? Is there anyone close to Glasgow that can recommend a good doc? Every time I think I know something, something else comes along. I just don't get this illness

I saw Dr <Deleted by Admin> who was convinced my symptoms were due to other issues rather than the thyroid

Are you on levo mags43? Or have u found a good doctor? I'm on a Facebook page and there's a man who got ndt on the NHS he did have to fight for a long time though!

I am on levo and I am just concentrating on going to gp every 8 weeks

What dose are you on? Have u been on it a long time?

150mg and been on it since August 2014, but I think I have had the illness a lot longer(my TSH was 78, when first diagnosed)

I would email Louise at TUK and ask her for her list of thyroid /patient friendly endos. Not sure how you can have Hadhimotos without antibodies. Wonder how he works that one out.

You need to post all of your blood test results along with their ranges on here and people can have a look for you.

You will be able to get them from your GP surgery receptionist. Don't let them fob you off, you are entitled to have them although some surgeries sometimes charge for printing them.

I've posted them on here before I think. I'm just so confused! I think I've emailed Louise before but she said they were all private and I can't really afford it at the mo as I went private for thyroid testing a couple of weeks ago. I'm just so fed up.
