I am 22 yrs old. I have been told I have hypo and hyper thyroid levels. Recently I was put on Levothyroxin. For the first time in years ( I think I was 16 when my menstrual cycle stopped) ive finally started my menstrual cycle. But it seems like its lasted 11 days or so. I desperately want to have a child, and I am hoping to get back in to the doctor soon so they can retest my thyroid levels to tell me where I am at. Has any one had the same issues? Or something similar??
Thanks,
Brittany

You need to find out if you have Hashimotos Disease causing this. It causes infertility by just having the antibodies, plus the labs swing from hypo to hyper in the beginning. You need a free t4 and free t3 test too, not just TSH. You may need to find another doctor.
You also need to have your progesterone levels checked - in particular, you want to check the estrogen : progesterone ratio. Progesterone deficiency/estrogen dominance also causes thyroid problems; conversely hypothyroidism also makes progesterone deficiency/estrogen dominance worse.
