Understanding Tsh and t4 levels

I have been having my Tsh and t4 levels monitored every 6 months. My Tsh is 0.34 and t4 is 10.2. They say it's low but don't want to do anything. I am having lots of symptoms, insomnia, constantly hot, blurred vision, skin problems, palpitations and anxiety. I don't know what to do

Do you have the lab ref ranges (the figures in brackets after the results) for those results?

Unfortunately no it has taken me a week to get anything out of the gp other than its low but no action required

Gail, it's impossible to tell how low your FT4 is without seeing the range. Ask your receptionist or practice manager for a printout of your results with the ranges.

Low TSH and low, or below range, FT4 is an indication of secondary hypothyroidism due to pituitary dysfuncton not raising TSH in response to low FT4.

If you can post the ranges we can advise. Otherwise you should ask your GP to consider secondary hypothyroidism and refer GP to NICE recommendations in this link.
