Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic fatigue- now I'm on the road to some recovery.

Hi, I wanted to let everyone know about what happened to me. I became ill in 2009, to cut a long story short I was diagnosed with fibro and chronic fatigue. I was suffering with drowsiness, repeated infections, fatigue that left me bedridden I also had to stop working which made my stress levels go through the roof. Doctors kept putting me on antidepressants and a host of other things including sleeping tablets. I couldn't except that this was how life was going to be although I have suffered with chronic pain for 20 years now this was on top of that so I kept looking and asking. Finally I was referred to ENT because I was also having nasal problems. It was discovered that I had a deviated septum so I went on to have it corrected in Jan 2014, it was a long recovery from the op, it took until May to feel better, I also started to feel better in general. I am about 80 % better now but now suffer with allergies mainly affecting my sinuses and repeated infections which as always knock me for six but I am so much better than I was. The problems in my nose were affecting my sleep quality which was probably causing my fatigue. I still have problems for instance with stairs and inclines but what an improvement. If I hadn't persevered and excepted what the doctors were telling me I would probably still be bedridden. I took myself off all medication also apart from pain relief, this has also helped. I became depressed and anxious throughout this whole experience which I am now dealing with but thankfully things seem to be looking up. For anybody out there who has had a fall or and accident, please get your noses checked because it could be making you very ill. Thank you for reading.

Glad you're feeling better. Re your current allergies, I found cutting out dairy a huge help.
