I need to get this out somewhere. I'm totally fed up of feeling so awful and exhausted. I've had an underactive thyroid 3/4 years now and despite increases in Levo I'm still not feeling any different and my results aren't improving. My Tsh is sitting at about 7.5 and my t4 is 8. At the last test I was on 75 Levo. I've now been put up to 100.
I've been eating a lot healthier recently and cutting all processed food and sugar. I've been taking vitamin D along with vitamin k2 and magnesium which has certainly helped with muscle fatigue and aching joints. But my weight has gone up not down and I'm feeling brain fogged, exhausted etx etc etc. I've asked on my next blood test for a vitamin d test. My iron levels etc have always been ok. What else should I ask to be tested? Although I'll need a damn good reason for her to add more tests I think
Any advice appreciated.

I would be querying the competence of your doctor. Why has he seen fit to leave you on a starter dose for so many years....
Here is the current prescribing info taken from the doctor bible, the British National Formulary.
-------------
ADULT over 18 years, initially 50–100 micrograms once daily, preferably taken at least 30 minutes before breakfast, caffeine-containing liquids (e.g. coffee, tea), or other medication, adjusted in steps of 25–50 micrograms every 3–4 weeks according to response (usual maintenance dose 100–200 micrograms once daily); in cardiac disease, severe hypothyroidism, and patients over 50 years, initially 25 micrograms once daily, adjusted in steps of 25 micrograms every 4 weeks according to response (usual maintenance dose 50–200 micrograms once daily); CHILD under 18 years see BNF for Children (section 6.2.1)

Given thT your tsh is far too high, it should be nearer to 1 I would write and demand a referral to an endocrinologist. Your doctor is clearly out of his depth.
Totally agree. She gave me an explanation that was completely wrong last time. Trouble is changing doctors at that practice isn't easy. Have a telephone appountment tomorrow to try and get thyroid antibodies and t3 tested for as well on upcoming blood test
Why have you stayed with this doctor? . You are obviously very undermedicated, which will cause deficiencies in vitamins and minerals. No amount of supplementing will make you feel better, if you are left hypothyroid.
