Dear Donnamore,

Have you had your B12, ferritin, vitd3, folate tested. It sounds like a b12 problem to me . Anything less than 500 can cause really bad problems and all of these levels need to be good for your thyroid to work properly.

Thanks for advice I will ring surgery on Monday to ask if I can have those tested . I'm so fed up now with this does hasi mean its worse than being hypo . I wonder if I imagine all of this . I just can't seem to get any better I'm also getting my job terminated because I've been of from march . Mabe il win the lotto tonight :)

Good luck with the lottery. I dont know much about hashi s as I have secondary hypo. Sorry about your job.

I also wondered if it might be an idea for you to take half a teaspoon of sea salt in water every day. It is good for adrenals and you will need to replenish what you lose with night sweats. I always feel a bit better if I have my sea salt and it is highly recommended by the stop the thyroid madness book.

thanks so much I'm going go buy it any particular brand

I dont think brand matters that much as long as its sea salt

Thanks mandyjane I got some an took it . Bit hard to take tho lol thanks again

Try a bit less salt or more water if its unpalatable. It should be quite pleasant.

I think they are called 'sleep paralysis' and I read a good explanation a few weeks ago.

huffingtonpost.com/dr-micha...

It's nothing to worry: Excerpt

Sleep scientists believe that sleep paralysis may occur when the transitions in and out of REM sleep and other sleep stages don't go smoothly. The paralysis that is typically confined to REM sleep spills over to other sleep stages -- and if you wake, you become aware of your body's paralysis, and the frightening feeling of being unable to move or to speak. Sleep paralysis may also include hallucinations. People often describe feeling a ghost-like presence in the room with them, as well as feelings of terror and foreboding. These hallucinations can include strange sounds and even smells, along with sensations of falling or flying. Although the mechanisms of breathing aren't impaired by sleep paralysis, people sometimes feel breathless, and often feel a weighty pressure on the chest. The experience of sleep paralysis can be terrifying, especially the first time it occurs.

If you've ever experienced sleep paralysis, you're not alone. The phenomenon is actually relatively common, and can occur at any point in life.
