Is there a report function for spam messages

I have received a couple of spam messages recently is there a report function on messages or do you just delete spam.

If you are receiving spam messages rather than a post which is visible to all members, send a message to any admin , copy and paste the message including the name of the spammer and they will deal with it.

You will have to copy and paste the message because personal messages cannot be forwarded.

Unfortunately, there is no mechanism for reporting spam private messages. It is something many admins have requested.

Even more unfortunately, we admins can do little about members who misuse the private message system. We cannot turn off their ability to send messages. That has to be done by HU support.

The final bit of unfortunateness, there is no simple way of you reporting such misuse to "the admin team" - you can send a private message and include as many of the admins as you can think of (or find in the members list).

My suggestion is to do the following:

Inform [e-mail] or use Help on the top bar, and choose "Email us".

Send a private message to admins including the message you are reporting and the member's identity in a single private message.

Leave the private message for at least a few days so that it can be investigated, questions asked, etc. Then delete it.

The above would apply to any serious misuse - spam, unpleasantness, etc.
