T3 conversion issue

Hi

I have recently been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. The issue is with T4-3 conversion, my tests showed thyroxine (T4) levels are ok. I have been seeing Dr Peatfield but find him a bit elusive and the nutri thyroid and adrenal supplements are doing nothing for me. He said the conversion issue with T4-T3 is due to an adrenal issue. I wondered if the next step would be also taking Armour medication as it contains T3 but I don't know if the T4 in it is necessary if these levels are ok? Any suggestions? I don't want to take cortisone either for the adrenals so I'm patiently waiting to hear back from Dr P.
