Hey guys,

Following on from my brothers diagnosis and my results and ongoing investigation...another brother got his thyroid etc tested...these are his results...just thought would ask your expert opinion as he exhibits some of the main symptoms and was diagnosed ADHD as a child and suffers with depression.

Ying-Yang, Your brother should have another thyroid blood test in 6-12 months. He won't get NHS treatment with those results but TSH >2 can mean he is becoming hypothyroid. It may take years before his TSH is over range or his FT4 below range to qualify for treatment .

Ahh good advice! We don't particularly have the same stmptoms, but he definitely has a few strong symptoms. He is quite a bit younger than me so perhaps it's something he needs to keep an eye on ☺️ He has private medical through bupa so not sure if that would make a difference for him...probably not

YingYang, BUPA means he can access a private endo of his choice with a GP referral letter should he need to do so.
