Antibiotics and Levo

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help! I've had flu for the last week and now think I may have a chest infection. Im sure I've read on here that some antibiotics interfere with levothyroxine! Does anyone know any info on this?

Maeli, some antibiotics increase uptake of Levothyroxine which may make you feel overmedicated while others decrease it which will make you feel hypo.

Try to take your Levothyroxine as far away from antibiotics as possible and this may mitigate under or over uptake.

Google your brand of antibiotic + Levothyroxine interaction to see whether yours is mentioned.
