Hi - I have been keeping a record of my results for the last 18 months. As background, I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid over 20 years ago and have been on 100mcg pretty consistently ever since. My records for the last 18 months are:
TSH - June '13 - 3.95
TSH - Jan '14 - 4.5
TSH - Jul '14 - 3.36
TSH - Mar '14 - 4.59
T4 - June '13 - 9.5
T4 - Jan '14 - 10.6
T4 - Jul '14 - 10.9
T4 - Mar '14 - 13
My T4 seems to be steadily rising and I think my TSH is outside of 'normal range' - should I be worrying?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Your TSH is far too high considering you are on replacement therapy. My test results usually have a caveat stating "with thyroxine replacement therapy tsh should be under 1.5).
How have you been feeling? You T4 also isn't that great. Most people feel well being in the 75% area of the range.
When posting blood tests results please put ranges in when you can (however they can be relatively similar)
Hi ovended, Your TSH is not low enough. I was in the same boat not immediately realizing how damaging it was to have such a high TSH.
Your T4 levels can fluctuate radically with the timing between taking your hormone and drawing the bloods. If you take your hormone in the morning each day, have the blood draw first thing and then take your dose.
As a result of LOW T4 your T3 will also be low. As it is the most active thyroid hormone and needed in almost everyone of the 30 trillion cells in the body - things may soon unravel .... As a test - the FT3 tells you much more about the performance of your thyroid....
