People without any natural thyroid function don't always do well on Levothyroxine only as they don't have the 20%+ of T4 to T3 conversion which happens in a healthy thyroid gland. It's always best to check whether you are optimally dosed on Levothyroxine before adding T3 or trying T3 only and it can be difficult to get T3 prescribed without an endocrinologist's recommendation.

If you want to post your thyroid results and say how much Levothyroxine you are taking we can advise whether you are optimally dosed.
