Hi all, I've got myself some B12 patches and am looking into getting some folate, ferrous fumarate and some hi dose vit c. Could anyone help on the strengths that I need to get please? My folate is 4.1 ug/L (4.5-18.5) my b12 is 227 ng/L. (190-700) and have enlarged red blood cells x

Nicki, Enlarged red blood cells may be due to your folate defciency.GP should prescribe 5mg folic acid for up to 3/4 months. I only needed one month x 5mg to improve my folate deficiency. The highest OTC folic acid you can buy is 400mcg.

I take 1,000mg chewable vitD daily. Other members take between 2-3mg. Ferrous Fumarate is 210mcg. Depending on how low your ferriti is you'll need betweeen 1 and 3 daily. Each tablet should be taken with 500mg-1,000mg vitC to aid absorption and mitigate constipation.

Get a B Complex vitamin to take with B12 and folic acid to keep the other B vits in balance.
