1. Adrenal Fatigue is a state of sub-optimal health applied to a collection of non-specific symptoms such as weakness and low energy that is hard to explain. Most forms of Adrenal Fatigue are mild, with full recovery after rest, and therefore they will go undetected. A small number of people fail to recover and get worse to more advance states. Advanced Adrenal Fatigue can be incapacitating. Physical or emotional stress (such as toxic relationships) plays a big role in this condition. Many myths and misinformation exist about Adrenal Fatigue. If the condition is left to natural progression and the stressors continue to persist, Adrenal Fatigue may worsen. Fortunately, the body has a built in healing mechanism, and can recover on its own most of the time, if given the right natural tools.
It would be nice to have more doctors like Dr. Lam but they don't seem to have an interest in adrenal problems. He mentions metabolic types and when I followed a blog for a few years the doctor told this story. Two farmers who were brothers ate the same diet of meat and potatoes; one farmer was very healthy and one was sick most of his life. Well the farmer who was a hunter-gatherer metabolic type did well but the other was an agriculturist and that diet was not good for his metabolic type. Unfortunately people may not realize which they are and think they are eating healthily. Some people use the Eat for Your Blood Type which may be a similar concept.
Hi cc, don't forget better food! The rich have many more choices it seems to me but, even so, they don't always make good ones. I'm in the U.S. and have been reminded that in California one year there was a doctor strike at a hospital and the death rate went DOWN during that period. Maybe seeing a doctor isn't always a good idea!
Eeeeek. There have been a few medical killers like that in the states but were caught before they killed over 200. That is incredible with all that forensic technology that they did not realize what he was doing. Quite a story.
Just goes to show how GP's are too trusted. What alerted the authorities to Shipman's shenanagins is the mortuary noticed that most/if not all his deceased patients were dressed in day clothes, as usually they are in bed clothes. Then when he was being investigated, it was discovered that he amended the deceased patients past records to explain their sudden demise, after the fact. This was discovered when his hard drive was examined, which recorded the ACTUAL time of amendments. After this bit of news, Shipman hanged himself in his cell.
Clues, clues, not to be ignored. I read about him on Wikipedia and they made a Law and Order show based upon him. I guess he also stole jewelry from his patients and after his death they found it in his garage. His wife tried to return all of it.....
It's a fascinating topic. I urge you to stay away from all serial killers even if they are doctors!
