My first appt. at the NHS Endo dept was end of July. Subsequently I had a thyroid ultra sound which revealed that my thyroid was virtually non existent now (Hashis) and the doc advised I would not be producing any hormones myself.
I had a blood test at the hospital 15.9.14 whilst on 75 thyroxine 5 days per wk + 100 twice a wk.
Results were
TSH 0.04 (0.27-4.20) L
FT3 3.4 (4-6.8) L
FT4 16.4 (12-22)
My follow up appt. in Nov was put back to 24th Dec. I tried to bring appt. forward but was advised I was not a priority and was unable to spk to the Endo I had seen as she had left.
Previously I had seen an Endo privately who put me on a comboT3/T4 but my GP refused to prescribe the T3 because I had seen Endo privately but he did say he would refer me to a NHS Endo but I seem to be getting nowhere with it.
Any advice/suggestions as to how I can make the best of my appt. on the 24th?
Many thanks.

Well its clear as day - your TSH is now suppressed because you are full of T4, but you aren't converting it to T3 which is the active form.
I think there is a good chance that the Endo will see that you need T3. Unless he/she has a magic wand to get you converting, they will need to give you some.
If you don't get any joy, then come back here - we have ways of solving the problem!
I totally agree with Ruthi, except i doubt you will be given any t3, seems they don't prescribe it very often. Your ft4 is low too, but i would not suggest you add any more of it. T3 would be a good thing for you!
