Just got my latest TSH result and it's now at 1.64 (0.30 - 4.70mu/L), started at over 7 and now on 75mcg of Levothyroxine.
I'm still feeling awful and no different to when I started out.
I have a GP appointment later today to discuss and I know she will not want to increase my doze as its now "normal".
Any advice on what to say before I go, I'm going to push for a small increase and also some additional tests for Iron, folate, ferritin, Vit D and Vit B12
If you email louise.warvill@thyroiduk.org and ask for a copy of the article by Dr Toft in Pulse Online. Question 6 advises approx where the TSH level approx. should be.
I have similar TSH values and the same dose (am still feeling very unwell). I asked my GP for the same tests as you are going to and had no problem getting their agreement. You don't mention whether you have had an antibodies test. I requested one from the GP myself (they didn't offer) and after the very high results came back they started to listen.
My Vit results were not good. I have my appointment today to discuss the very low levels of ferritin, D3 and B12. Keep strong and stick to your guns.
