advice on Garcinia Cambogia Extract?

I've changed my diet to hight protein and low carb diet for about 5 months, this has worked well and lost a stone. I plateaued and not lost any in a month. I need to get rid of another 9 lbs in 5 weeks. I do exercise 3/4 times a week Davina McCall and Tracy Anderson DVDs. So I was thinking of trying Garcinia Cambogia Extract anyone had any issues or good results with it?

  • I am sorry I don't know anything about the product you named and assume as there have been no replies others dont.

    You have lost 1 stone over 5 months through your diet and that's extremely good. You say you are exercising 3/4 times a week. You also want to lose another 9lbs in 5 weeks. I hope you are able to lose it through your diet but I will say that exercising vigorously can actually reduce your T3 uptake and make you feel unwell.

    How are you feeling and you appear to be on optimum medication otherwise you wouldn't be able to exercise so frequently.

  • Hi, Nicky. I've had experience with Garcinia. What it did, was simply reduce my appetite and I went from eating 3 meals a day to skipping supper almost every day. It is not a good way to loose weight when being hypo. It slows down metabolism. Can you describe your tipical meals throughout the day? Do you have carb cravings? And I'm not really familiar with the excercise you are talking about - are they aerobic, strength or smth like yoga/pilates? Do you eat post workout?
