Ok according to all results I do not have a thryoid issue yet have every symptom of hypothyroidism. Have a nodule in lower left pole of thyroid and a heteregenous thyroid (not normal looking) where does that leave me now?
No thyroid issues: Ok according to all results I... - Thyroid UK
No thyroid issues
Do you have your blood results? Perhaps if you post them with rangesssomeone will be able to help?
Hi Helly, so many people on this board will tell you what an effort it takes to get good treatment for thyroid issues.....sometimes to get ANY treatment at all. GP may be reluctant to let you see your test results but you are permitted to have copies if you wish.
They usually use the TSH result to base their decision and you may see that you are high on that range. Someone posted their results and they were 3 points over the top range and they would not treat. They seem to want to wait until you are severely ill before prescribing a $2 thyroid medication. I'm sorry for the sarcasm. I have read so many posts like yours and something needs to change in the UK. Some have gone private and some have just become too ill to work. I urge you to learn as much as you can about your condition and wish you the best. Try to get a diagnosis if you really feel you are hypothyroid.
Thank you for your comment, we do know that I have some form of hormone issue but not what? The GP just keeps saying that the nodule is only small and nothing to worry about!
My results are as follows: A month ago my TSH was 2.3 now the following:
TSH 1.4
T4 4.4
T3 11.6
Thyroid antibodies globlulin <1
thyroid Perixodose <1
liver function 44 (12-30)
Thanks everyone!
Bear in mind also have nodule in lower left pole of thyroid and a thyroid of heteregenous appearance (not normal)
Also over the past 10 years my liver function tests are on the rise!
