Question: A GP based in London that can prescribe Armour Thyroid?
Kornelia,
It would be easier to find a needle in a haystack than an NHS doctor who will prescribe Armour or any other NDT.
It is because it is not licenced for use in the UK and the British Thyroid Association has made False Statements about it, despite a rebuttal from a scientist which they obviously ignored.
Some Endocrinologists (private I believe) may prescribe but very few. Some doctors have been struck off.
Some members have been forced to self-medicate but some private doctors may prescribe and you have to pay for Armour. Some information:-

You say you have just been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and I assume you are on levothyroxine. Many people do well on it as long as the doctor will increase the dose every six weeks till the patient feels well and GP doesn't rely on the TSH blood result to medicate his patient.
Dont waste your energy. Buy online like many do.
Kornelia, why don't you try Levothyroxine for a few months. Most people do well on it when they're optimally dosed. The reason some don't is because their GPs keep them under medicated. You're unlikely to find an NHS doctor who'll prescribe Armour as it isn't licensed for use in the UK.
