Has anyone had experience with Prof Colin Dayan in Cardiff?

My G.P is waiting for me to get back to her with an endo for a private referral. I have been reading about Prof Dayan but interested to know what his approach is, i.e is he open to T3, Armour, adrenal insufficiency etc. Please P.M me if you have any info. It would be much appreciated. Thank you x

On the whole it sounds promising. I have read lots of his research papers and he has studied combined T4/T3 too. Thanks for sending info through.

I saw him after a long wait (he does not do many clinics), it was worth it. Like many of us I have had not so good experiences with endocrinologists, Professor Dayan was certainly different. He listened, read everything I had taken with me (I had prepared a history making it as short and clear as I could), he answered my many questions. Thanks to him I may have found a way to go forward that is right for me and I am most grateful. It was so good to be treated as a thinking, feeling human being. Rosie

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I have at last been referred ( I had to see 2 local endo's first who were not helpful at all) I am really hoping he'll have a strategy that might work for me but to be under the care of an expert will be of great reassurance. Out of interest did he keep you on his books and was he open to alternative treatment protocols? I hope you are feeling better x

He was pro Armour Thyroid - which is what I am on. His team are currently working through all the work Dr Skinner did prior to his very sad passing. Those two things alone reassured me that he is open and thoughtful. As he has put me on a very helpful path I most probably would not need to see him again but he did say he was happy to see me if I needed it. I am to see my gp next week as his letter has arrived with her and my no doubt, long road will begin there. I feel for the first time since this all began that maybe instead of me being at the mercy of this condition I can live a happy, healthy life. It is great you have an appointment and although I have no doubts that you will need it, good luck. Rosie

I just had a consult with me he deals in armour t3 only and combo t3 to t4 also t3 injections as a last resort
