Hi & Welcome (but sorry you're here)

Have you got your latest blood tests for folk to comment further?

HAve you had irons ferritin, folate & B12 tested too, and Vitamin D - all help in the mix

It does take awhile to get into the system - how long have you been taking it for?

(with water only away from milk or food) J :D

50mcg is a starter dose, it may take some time to find the correct dose for you

How long have you been taking it? I found when I started three months ago that it took at least a week for the body to adjust, it's definitely not a quick fix. I'm just starting to feel well again after 3 months.

Hi thanks for the replies it's nice to know that your not on your own . I have only been taking thyroxine for 2 weeks but I suppose I expected to feel a bit better and not worse. I need to get my blood tests from the docs nxt time I go them I'll post the results. Also is it common to get problems with sinuses and headaches with dizziness.

Dear Lucky Girl40

i was put on 50mg levo and i felt like rubbish all the time , i have been very ill with this and not able to work as was falling asleep the whole time, plus lots of other symptoms. They say it takes about six to 8 weeks for it to take any effect. I am now on 75 ml and feel slightly better, but not wonderful.

I had headaches and dizzyness, to the point where i felt drunk,, I haven't had any alcohol for ages, so by reading others problems on this site I guess you could say yes its usual, but everyone is different. Dont let the gps treat you like you just wandered out of a text book, as i found that they tend to. There are some lovely earth angels on this site who really know their stuff. You are in the best place. Sorry to hear its happened to you to ..

Hope you feel better soon

kind regards
