If you are prescribed an antibiotic take it at least 4 hours away from levo as it could interact.

If you've not had a recent blood test for your thyroid gland, ask for one to be done as you don't feel well, just in case your levels have altered. Post with the ranges on a new question you could well need an increase in medication. The aim for most of us is to have a TSH 1 or below or suppressed.

Hi, do you tend to be low in iron? My ferritin has always been low and I've struggled with iron supplements, but I've had some really good advice that if I take ground flax seed on my cereal and probiotics this should help me to tolerate the iron that I so desperately need. Of course, B12 and vit D also crucial. But did you know copper deficiency thyroidpharmacist.com can also give dizziness. I get it too. Especially if you are taking supplements with Zinc, it can strip out copper. I'm going to start supplementing my thyroxin with Thyroid Gold and am also going to see a homeopath who apparently has had people recover from hashimoto's. Good luck. A.

Hi Happy Go Lucky, I know how you feel. I get sinus, migraines and vertigo. I've had vertigo for the past 3 years. I believe it got worse due to undiagnosed hypothyroidism. I would advise you to go to the doc and start a course of treatment s/he recommends. If this does not help do go back. Vertigo can be caused by a number of things (thyroid/adrenal is one of them) but u need to eliminate other possibilities first. My GP surgery was so slow in helping me (I had dizzies everyday for a year and still live with it now) that I helped myself with vestibular exercises and aerobics. Try and carry on as normal and dont be scared of it as that can make it worse. I hope this helps and i know how you feel, it's horrible. Message me if you need anymore help. all the best xxx

Thankyou for that as no one understands. I nene like this for 9 months now on and off. I never coped very well first time round. I was depressed, crying and having panic attacks. But that is more under control since taking the thyroxine. I was thinking it could of been adrenaline related too as I would feel spaced out and strange, like a hangover and foggy. It's a horrible feeling. I will take your advice and thankyou again. Am going to make an appointment tomorrow. As I think my levels have dropped. Even though last test said I was on the right level. I hope you feel better soon too. X

Good luck with the tests. You will get better, promise! A friend of mine also gets vertigo and she really helped me. She said it really only happens when I have to do something I don't want to do (like see mum in law i think was one of them!) and that to remember it's all in your head. When she said that to me I had a light bulb moment and I dont let it upset me anymore. Since then the dizzies are less and less. It's quite common for the human body to learn to be a certain way and get stuck in that rut (for us, possibly, being dizzy) It's like learned behaviour (I have no idea why, grrr stupid body) So you have to tell your body it's ok and that part of your life is over now.

But I definitely recommend getting thyroid checked again and adrenal saliva tests too :) xx

Thank you that was so helpful. I think because I didn't cope first time round I thought I wouldn't this time. But I just let it happen and carried on with my day and just ignored it and to be honest this is working for me. At first I didn't know what was wrong and I was thinking all kinds. Then when I knew what it was I coped better. Still get occasional anxiety and depression but I accept it and still try and live my life. I work and socialise so guess I am lucky. As some people are really ill with this. But it depends on the person as well. We are all different and cope in different ways. Your right it is a learned behaviour. Thank you again x

So glad you are coping with it. I'm 3 years in with the dizzies but I do everything I did before (except get up too quick, I don't do that!). I don't even really think about anymore. You'll be fine :) Did you get your test results back? xx
