Here I am in my little house near Glastonbury - 4 weeks of soaring temperatures and no rain - 200,000 people in a field (mostly without wellies this year) - the heavens have opened and storms predicted for the weekend. It is just not fair!! XX

Everyone knows that 'Festies' love a bit of mud!
Its right on cue and very welcome. All the gardens need a good watering down here in the south! We knew we could rely on the festival to bring some rain and wet campers fare much better than sun burnt ones!
...best to set up a Welly Stall and raise some funds for your chosen charity.....every cloud has a silver lining. Am disgruntled too as Wimbledon is in full swing and only the Centre Court can be used Do hope you have a good weekend - weather forecasts are often wrong ! Maybe forecasters have the same training as Docs - only look at the screen to diagnose !!
Well I am normally at the festival when I can be, but this time not, however my husband is there, already up to his knees in mud! MaryF
Festivals have to be muddy and wet or they are far too enjoyable! You remember the wet and muddy ones most.
Sheenah, would Glasters be Glasters without monsoons, mud wallowing and trench foot?
The best Glasto of all I've been to was 98 forever known as 'the year of the mud'. Watery mud 2inches from flooding into the top of your welly boot and I was 6 months pregnant. Robbie Williams singing Angels on the Pyramid stage and a rainbow appeared above him. I kid you not, totally classic! ?☺T
