Can hypothyroidism cause low or high potassium blood levels?

I'm not entirely sure but I do know that it can cause low sodium so this can definitely upset the sodium/potassium balance.

If I find out anything for definite, I'll let you know :)

It seems that it can cause high potassium. Potassium is released into the blood from the cells more than it should be. Poor adrenal function can cause low potassium sure to increased urination, at least that is how I understood it.

I don't strictly have hypothyroid according to my doctor(symptoms only), but my potassium/sodium levels have been checked twice recently and potassium is top of the range & my sodium down the bottom.
