The most recent test revealed that I had some antibodies - not many but they were there. Do we all have some antibodies, or is it a clear sign of thyroid problems? Many Thanks Sheenah XX

I think we all have antibodies to lots of things because, in an ideal world, they are clearing up stuff. That's why there is a range up to which it is considered 'normal' (yes, I hate that word too!). But if you are over the range, that's too many.
My antibodies have been checked a few times over the years, by the NHS and privately, and they have always come back undetectable. I do have thyroid problems though.
My anti-bodies - TPO - are high - and have been the same since diagnosis in 2005. Have had Crohns for over 40 years but cannot find a connection....
