Hi - according to a recent TFT test my TSH level is 0.26 (range is 0.3 - 4.2) can someone please explain where is 0.26 within the range I've given as I don't understand how to read the figures. Thanks

TSH Ranges - explanation please?
Hi Adara13, your result is similar to mine - below the range used by the lab which tested your bloods. If you put a zero as the second decimal number in the range figures it makes it easier to see: 0.26 (0.30-4.20)
So the lowest it is expected to be, is 0.30, and you are measuring as 0.04 below that.
Some GPs will often see a TSH below the range as being evidence of over-treatment, and will want to reduce meds. Others have the view that to have achieved that is necessary for some people, to alleviate symptoms of under-treatment. So the key thing is, how do you feel on your present dosage? Do you feel more hyper than hypo, or do you feel okay? That is the acid test.
Hi my results have come back as Thyroid FRee T4 15.8, TSH levels 1.43 and Free T3 4.0, please advise where I go from here and if I need medication x as feel generally very un well and have RA autoimmune disease and Fibro so not feeling great at all x
Thanks for your response Hypnoteq explains my slightly hyper state.
