I am getting low blood sugar attacks, trying to avoid refined sugar and simple carbs but wondering if the problem is caffeine related.

Hi mandyjane I also have episodes I hypoglycaemia. My endo has advised me that if you have thyroid desease you can be prone to reactive hypoglycaemia and that a low GI diet helps :-)

I also have it. I eat literally every couple of hours. I know it's associated with thyroid issues and adrenal fatigue....which of course doesnt exist, remember-just ask the nhs

Hi Hypoglycemia is common, no treatment is needed, except for comfort to eat a small carb 2 hourly. Watch diet carfeully as although not Diabetes, this is a warning and may develop. Diabetes is autoimmune and hormonal.

Best wishes,

Jackie

I suffered from this a few months ago. I had to force food down as had no appetite. Fortunately this has settled down as my symptoms have gone but if I leave eating for over 4 hours I start to feel trembly/dizzy etc so I am monitoring it.

So pleased to hear an endo has confirmed that thyroid is linked with reactive hypoglycaemia-my doctor denied all knowledge-I knew it would be connected. Been taking my Vit D/iron /magnesium/starflower oil/ things have really settled down. Take care.
