Should I increase Carbimazole?

I have a toxic nodule which is causing me to be hyperthyroid. I was given 10mg Carbimazole. I had bloods taken a fortnight at the Endocrinologist. My GP then phoned me the next day to say to half my dose of Carbimazole to 5mg. I've been really anxious and twittery for the past few days. Am thinking of taking my dose back to 10mg. Can anybody give me their opinion?

Hi Lee,

I would suggest you contact your Gp and request another blood test before increasing or decreasing your carbimazole. I've been told there is normally around a 2 week lag with carbi which might tie in with how you are feeling.
