I am in the process of getting a formal diagnosis and on 50mg until I see the specialist in 2 weeks.
I have just found out I'm pregnant, can I take ... - Thyroid UK
I have just found out I'm pregnant, can I take pregnancy vitamins with levothroxine?
yes you can take the pregnancy vitamins and personally I think they are quite important. Take food/supplements away from your thyroid medication
So far as I am aware, there is no issue - so long as you do not literally take them "with" - but separate by two hours or more.
Not quite clear where you are in terms of taking levothyroxine, but there is plenty of advice that the dose of someone who is currently doing fine needs to be increased, typically by about 25mcg, as soon as pregnancy is known. Sort of, take now and worry about tests later. Ideally you would do this with the full co-operation and knowledge of GP and ob/gynae.
Congratulations on your pregnancy and commiserations on your potential hypothyroidism.
You GP has done the right thing in medicating you and referring you to an endocrinologist. Take iron and calcium supplements 4 hours away from thyroxine, anything else 2 hours. Food and drink should be 1 hour after thyroxine and 2 hours before as an empty stomach is needed for absorption.
You can take your thyroxine in the morning or last thing at night, whichever suit you best. If you have morning sickness night time will probably be best.
