Support Centre

We wanted to draw your attention to a very handy feature of HU.

The Support Centre is accessed by clicking on 'Help' on the green bar.

You can report technical problems by clicking on 'Email Us'. This will create a form for you to fill in. You will generally receive a standard reply within a few minutes and MOST queries also receive a personal reply after the problem has been looked at by the HU Tech team.

There are also some VERY useful articles which cover some of the FAQS about HU, these include topics such as:

What is HealthUnlocked?

How to edit my profile

Asking a Question

If I experience a technical fault...

Not Receiving my HealthUnlocked Notifications

Role of a Community Administrator

and many more...

Most of these include screenshots as well as step-by-step instructions.

There are 2 relatively new features of the Support Centre of which you may not be aware...

The first is a list of known current technical problems - this is called HealthUnlocked Network Status. If you find a technical problem, it is well worth checking this section before reporting it to HU and/or Posting about it in your community, as the tech team may already be aware of the problem and be attempting to rectify it.

The second is a new function that is only being tested at the moment. This is the ability to actually chat online to a member of the Tech Team. This will only be live for a few hours a day up until the end of January while they complete the testing, but if it proves to be successful, this could become a permanent feature!

  • Hi Louise, I'm not at all sure I'm doing this correctly. Might be posting in wrong box and I'm terrified of that. I have to say after reading "Everyone Read This" I feel like a schoolchild with all its DO's and DON'Ts. If I personally make mistakes on here, I'm sorry but because of my illness - Hashis - I find it hard to concentrate and understand what I read on here. I'm not sure I'll ever have the courage to ask questions on here anymore and its made me feel even more miserable

  • Hi

I'm so sorry! It is never our intention to make anyone feel miserable or intimidated in any way! :(

We only ever offer guidance to try and make this a safe and helpful environment for everyone..

I can only apologise if we have failed in that in any way. :(

  • Thank you Louise, I just feel quite unwell and am tired of trying to get it right to feel better. Worn out with it all so feeling very sensitive, sorry x

  • No need to apologise! We are here to help. x

  • sidneymark70, if it helps, I've never seen anyone get told off here for getting something wrong. Admins can edit anything properly dodgy (where to get meds without prescription or naming helpful docs etc). They're not keen on people getting into bickering arguments, but that's life and it occasionally happens. The kind of uncertainty you describe is always treated in a helpful way I think.

What are you afraid you might get wrong? Maybe if you share it here others can help you work it out.

I say get stuck in! :-) I don't know where I'd be if it wasn't for this forum.
