Just been to see the Endo taking synthetic T3 and T4 combo - still gaining weight - last option to try NDT, advised to buy from US online, can anyone please help provide a tried and tested online supplier, so that I can purchase some NDT and give myself a three month trial to see how I do. Hi Sandy12, my TSH is just under what is classed as normal range, so Endo will not increase either of my T3 or T4. Taking NDT will just be a trial for 3 months (I cannot really afford it) but I need to know for sure if it will work for me. I am nowhere near as bad as I used to be - symptom wise, but there is still room for improvement, weight now being a major part of it, over the last 9 years I have gone from a size 8 to a size 14-16 my boobs have gone from a c-d to a h, I do not believe it is all due to my age and the menopause. So I will give the NDT a trial a,d see if it works, if not or if still the same, I will go back to the T3/T4 combo. As stated my Endo will still monitor me during the trial. Wish me luck,
If your Endo was willing to monitor, is there any reason he was unwillingly to prescribe?

Hi Louise, I mentioned named patient, he also knows about it but is unwilling to do it, said it needs to be my GP who does it, we all know that's blarney but what can we do!! I guess when I start my trial if it works for me, then I will push, but for now, I will wait and see what happens. Wish me luck.

Thanks Sandy, unfortunately my endo will not give anymore of either T3 or T4 because my TSH is just below the "normal range" I think it will 0.2 or similar and he will not let it drop any further.
