Hydrocortisone/adrenals

Hi,

I'm taking hc again for poor adrenals ( long journey!)

I'm v sensitive to filler and cheaper brands so just wondered what the best uk one is? I used to have cortef but am getting on NHS ATM.

Have others found any superior/less fillers please?

So far as I can see from the Electronic Medicines Compendium (eMC) there are only two makes:

Amdipharm Mercury do 10 and 20mg Hydrocortisone tablets.

Viropharma do 5 and 20 mg modified release tablets called Plenadren.

It is not possible to be sure - some makes are still not listed in eMC (I think it should be a legal requirement). So there could be some other makes. Certainly at one time Hydrocortone from Merck Sharp & Dohme and Hydrocortisone from Auden Mckenzie Ltd were available.

If you can afford it, you could take Adrenal Max. It's bio-identical hydrocortisone with Vit C regenerativenutrition.com/s...

I take it. You can also use HC cream.

Took glandulars but unfortunately not enough but thanks
