I have two nodules on my thyroid which are getting bigger. however, my last blood test for was fine. any info re nodules on thyroid?

How old are you? thyroid nodules are very common and by age 50 approx. 50% of the population will have them. Most are never a problem but sometimes one can go overactive and produce too much thyroid hormone. Rarely they grow to a size where they cause pressure symptoms. The usual scenario is someone has nodules but their thyroid still works normally.

Thanks. However, they can be quite unsightly, and I wondered if there was a way to reduce them without having them cut out?
