Anyone else having problems with the new HU set up?

It all seems more complicated than before, but my main problem is that I'm not receiving a daily update - sometimes it comes and sometimes not.

I agree, it's very user unfriendly now - it was perfect before. I don't use this forum half as much now, as it's too frustrating

I agree. I don't like to moan but it makes life even more difficult. I know it's a case of getting use to something new but it wasn't this frustrating when I first found the site last year. I am not receiving email updates either when people reply to my questions. I find I am only using the site if I need to ask something whereas I used to check in regularly most days and join in. Why try to fix something that ain't broke? I'm sure there were reasons for the change but its a shame.

:)

Hello,

We are as annoyed as you are about this new set up, and we are doing all we can to remind HU that this site needs to help people not frustrate them further. It would really help if you could please email HU and express your individual feelings to them too as we have no control over the changes they've made.

Thank you very much. Hopefully normal service can be resumed as soon as possible.

I can't even get onto the site some days and it is so slow to load pages or doesn't load at all, It isn't a problem my end as all other sites are as fast as usual. It is very frustrating and have to agree with you not user friendly.

Yes, they had a problem over the last couple of days with the page loading and with logging in but that appears to be sorted out now. If you are still having problems please do let them know by clicking on 'Help' on the green bar at the top.

[Edit: Having said that, I am now experiencing it being slow again. Email being sent :) ]

I'm finding it really slow to load pages at the moment.I click on a post or a question and it eventually gets me there but it takes a while. Other sites I use aren't that slow and this site has only been slow recently..

Thanks all - glad to know it's not just me!

Hi Sue,

Yes the new website takes getting used to and not as simple as before I agree.I have found my way around it which seems to work for me as follows:

Open the last notification on your email

Go to green band - health unlocked

Go to Log in

Go to communities

Go to Thyroid support

There you have it all - Questions - Posts and latest activity.

Not as straight forward as before but I have become used to my new method and do it automatically now.

Hope this helps a little bit......the more you do it the quicker you get.X

Thanks for posting these hints, marfit. We will continue to press HU for improvements. Jane x

No problem Jane and Louise,

It must be as frustrating for you all in Admin too.

At least we are managing to communicate and support each other which what is most important to us all......with that in mind I will be in touch again for myself I am sure next week when I get blood test results back for vitamins.

Have a good weekend everyone XX

Hi Sue

HU will be testing the Daily Digest over the coming days - we are offering them help and advice on this. :) Please feel free to join in! :)

If you are not getting any at all, it may be that you do not have the right ticks in your account...

1) Click your name on the green bar

2) Click Email Preferences

3) Click 'Edit' on the 'Contact Preferences' section.

4) Tick your preferred choice/s. If they are already ticked, try unticking and reticking. If this still does not work, please email support@healthunlocked.com

Hope this helps! :)

Thank you for still trying!

Don't know what I'm doing but definitely not having the problems everyone else is!! Yonks ago I edited my email preferences and, up until today, I was receiving a daily digest.

I'm also having relatively few problems :) The daily digest is being worked on so that it includes more posts and questions (one of each was rather pointless). I expect that is why you are not receiving them at the moment. Hopefully the new-look digest will be much better :)

Thanks Carolyn.

I've not been having problems - or if I am I didn't know I was - just seem to be on a go-slow recently. Don't think I get a daily digest but I might not have signed up for it.

I got a different digest today - jut like the ones we used to have with all the posts from the past 24 hours (I think) Yay!! And a link to click to say if I liked it or not. It also said they'd be trying out different formats.

Me too! Think it arrived this afternoon rather than during the night/early morning as before. It wasn't easy to read so I didn't bother!!

in reply to

Hi Cinnamon -they are collecting feedback, it would be really helpful if you could have a look and let them know what you think and why you found it difficult to read.

That's interesting - I was surprised to find it coming in the morning, I had assumed it would come at the end of the day - to show what had happened throughout the day! lol!

Done! Apologies Louise, it did arrive in the morning. I struggle with pages full of text thanks to hypo so found it a tad overwhelming. Nice to have it back again though!!

Hi CG - make sure to give them feedback about anything you would like to change! :)

In my public account details my birthday is listed as 1st Jan 1954. This is not correct and I would prefer my birthday to be private anyway. When I try to change it to private it just defaults back to this date. Please advise.
