Choking when you lie down could be acid reflux, too.

Please do go and get it checked out. It could be the nodules, in which case they may want to do something about them, or it could be totally unrelated. Either way, you won't know until you get checked out. Hopefully it's nothing serious but it's best to get checked to be on the safe side. At least when they know what is causing the problem, they will be able to do something about it.

Hope it gets better soon

Have my ct scan next week but it's very hard to see my doctor, should i phone the hospital up who has see me, as i have been having trouble swallowing some foods, but have been thinking of meal replacement as part of a daily diet until i get to the doctor or hospital to see me

It might be a good idea to call them and see if they move your appointment forward as you are having trouble swallowing. There's no harm in trying. If it gets worse or you start having trouble breathing, you need to speak to a doctor right away. You may need to go to A&E if breathing gets too difficult, otherwise call your GP surgery and see what they suggest.

Hope it goes well and you get the treatment you need. It must be awful not being able to swallow properly :(

I had huge nodule on my right lobe ( was operated 30 years ago ) and I had left lobe removed in June because I had 7 nodules in there. Yes the chocking / strangular feeling is familiar I even had a start of a sleep apnea due to this which now has disappeared. Best to have them checked, that is usually ultrasound scan and they pinpoint the sizes and locations accurately. Don't worry about it , its fairly routine. Its up to you if you want to take it further. Apparently lots of people have non-bothersome nodules without them even knowing about it. Mine bothered so glad to have them out.

I read this post with great interest. For the last year, i find myself frequently choking on food - apart from being terrifying, i've also wondered whether it's connected some how to my condtions

I choke more when undermedicated and get a tight feeling in the neck. its one of the signs that alert to to take a pill if Ive forgotten (which I often do) You should go get your levels checked at your doctor, they may need adjusted or like you have mentioned you may have an increase in nodule size which again should be checked
