I can't get eltroxin was told manufacturer said unavailable does anyone know what is going on and what is the alternative?
Mercury Pharma make their own brand, which apparently has exactly the same ingredient as their Eltroxin brand, you would have to ask your pharmacist to order them. If I can find a previous blog with info on it I will pass it on but as the site is not being very helpful at the moment don't hold your breath.

Had a look for you but cant find what I'm looking for. If you press the green "Eltroxin" tag under your question related posts pop up, maybe read some of those and see if you can find out anything.

Jeans, I have been very well on 100mcgs Goldshield Eltroxin for several years and have now been told by pharmacist that MercuryPharma's (who bought Goldshield) branded medication will not be available until January 2014. In the meantime I must take their generic preparation. I confess that I am a little worried about the change simply because I have thrived for so long and really do not want to compromise my health now. I actually begin the generic meds tomorrow and, in preparation, I have had my bloods done this morning to serve as a baseline.
How long have you been on Eltroxin and have you been well? The Home page says that Mercury Pharma's generic and branded thyroxine is exactly the same as Goldshield's Eltroxin. Good luck. I'd be interested to hear how you are getting on.
Best wishes
