However, vitamin D was low some time ago I have treated this and still have chronic fatigue symptoms. What should I do to support my thyroid, the symptoms are ruining my life.

My TSH is 2.6, Ive been diagonosed with chronic fatigue for some some time. Tested my vits all ok.
You only mention VitD - have you had anything else checked, like B12 or iron as if low both of these can cause fatigue (especially the iron)

Hi Moggie thankyou. Yes all ok. The symptoms that I have are also cold chills, brain fog, poor memory,no energy dry skin lot of thyroid symptoms, is the 2.6 still a level that could affect my thyroid? I was told that 0 is normal, 5 is treatable, so Im in the middle.
hi ,, the symptoms you mention are classic hypo ones,, what dose are you ? have you any idea of your actual thyroid hormones,, ft4 and ft3,,, ? maybe ask your doc for increase to see if that helps,,, theres a symptom checker on thyroid uk site which you can print out and tick boxes. that might help to convince doc,
Thanks Ian, I am not on any medication. The doc said Im normal range, my friend said it is the lower end. Im not sure what I should do. I have also gained weight even when I diet it is not shifting from around my middle. It is most odd when You really do not understand all of this thyroid stuff but I seem to hit the tick list on the symptoms can I ask for a low dose treatment to see if it helps.? What are the side effects? Are they allowed to perscribe for that level of 2.6?
I don't know that they are prohibited from prescribing but generally they won't until tsh is closer to 10. Did they do an antibodies test? Sometimes they can be convinced by that (as I understand it if your antibodies are high you will eventually become hypo so this can help you get a trial of meds). In other countries you might be treated (depending on your gp) when your tsh is closer to 3. It does fluctuate though so next time they test you it could be higher.
Do you have the results for all your vitamin tests? As with thyroid tests, "normal" doesn't necessarily mean "right". It might be that, although your levels are within the normal range, they are low down in the range and this is contributing to how you feel. For example, the bottom of the range for vitamin B12 is around 200. This is far too low for good health. You can end up with neurological damage with a vitamin B12 level this low. It is best to make sure this is at least 500. Also your ferritin needs to be 70-90 (for most people) rather than the very low level that is considered normal by the NHS.
I suggest it would be a good idea to get these results and post them in another question so that people can help you. It is important because they could be affecting how you feel. They can also affect how well your body makes and uses thyroid hormones.
I hope that helps

Thankyou everybody for your kind help. Im going to make a new appointment to see my doctor to discuss these matters to investigate further x
While you are there PLEASE get print out of all you blood results so that you can post on here. As has already been said, the GP's normal does not necessarily mean optimal for you regarding vitamins so please ask for your results, post on here and people will comment.

They tried twice to fob me off with chronic fatigue as a diagnosis when my TSH was about like yours, but FT4 and FT3 right down towards the bottom of the range. After a four year fight I am now doing quite well on levothyroxine.

Chronic Fatigue, ME and fibromyalgia all were 'new' diseases named about ten years after the TSH blood test became the way to diagnose thyroid gland problems. Previously, people were medicated according to clinical symptoms and this is a link to a Virologist who, by accident, became involved. He has now been hauled before the GMC several times as he treats people by clinical symptoms (as he was trained as a student) .
Day 1. Brain Fog seemed to be a little better, didnt expect any results at all.
Day 2. Feel relaxed less anxious. Appetite dropped a little.
