i had RIA and now have gone slightly Hypo, and started to have sweats , bit light headed and sicky but they pass very quickly... the symptoms are the same as Hyper... I am on 50mcg Levothyroxine.. I did a naughty thing and am now taking the Levo every other day and i feel so so much better... light headedness has gone , so has sickly feeling.. still get the odd sweat... my tsh is very low at .48 range to 3.0 and my T4 normal at 14.1,range 10 -20 so my Dr says my blood test is normal, so is not altering my meds.. however having such a low tsh i had read that the T3 or t4 over compensates.. this has gone up from 9.6, so i reckon i am being slightly over medicated. Taking the Levo every other day has worked.. seeing my Dr next week , and will no doubt get my legs slapped!!

This is on no account de-crying my GP as she has been excellent by all accounts..

The tests have their place, but ONLY in conjunction with listening to how the patient is feeling!!

Tests vs dose vs symptoms! :) Take it with you when you go...
