hi i am new and i suffer from under active thyroid

i have had under active thyroid i have suffered with it for a long time now they are all ways changing levo to 150mg to 125mg and for the last 4 month i have also been on folic acid but i still feel very tried and cant be bothered

Why do they keep changing your dose? Do you have any blood test results to share with us?

no but i will ask the doctor for a copy when i see them next time

sorry the reason why they keep changing them is because they cant get my levels right

Taking Folic acid can mask a B12 deficiency.

The single most obvious characteristic of a full blood count that points at low B12 is enlarged red blood cells (macrocytosis). Taking Folic acid in the sort of dose used for supplements corrects this. But it does NOT prevent some of the other issues of low B12. These include irreversible nerve damage.

In my view, no-one should be given Folic acid without having a B12 test.

Please check. Please, while not getting into a panic, do not delay unnecessarily. And, while you are at it, get a print out of your blood test results. Have a look here:
