Any one have thyroid eye disease ? I'm finding the phycological effects really hard to cope with on top of everything else x

I feel for you juliaheppers. Good news is my eyes almost completely returned to normal

Your Doctor/Opthalmist should have prescribed suitable eye lubricants.

Because not wearing makeup made no improvement(I had rarely worn eye makeup before) I started to use it to soften the appearance and bought specs with frames which cut across the top of the eyeball again to minimise the 'stare'.

When my hyperthyroidism was under control it subsided and I was convinced the flaxseed oil helped and still take it or the seeds.

Now under active and whilst my eyes look normal most of time I do get minor symptoms.

It is recognised that Doctors/Opthalmists need to be more understanding of the psychological affect of this.
