24hr Cortisol Saliva Test?

Started my test this morning, first sample at 9am, second at 1.30 my next one is due between 5.30 and 6.30.

I feel quit tired, can I take a nap or will it screw up the results? I wouldn't take a nap on a workday at this point for instance....

I should ideally do the test in work on a workday but we don't have a freezer...

Yeah I did my first test on a Sunday and that was a bit of a mistake. I did my last one on a normal work day.

You don't need to freeze the tubes immediately. Why not take in a cooler box, like I did, and properly freeze when you get home.

Ast should really be taken on a normal day for you, stress and all!

I'd probably take a nap and retake the test on a normal working day. You also don't want to be excessively tired or stressed because that'll bias the results.

well I took a nap and will do the test tomorrow... Is it best to do it at 8, 12, 4 and just before bed?

The info. with the kit says 30-60mins after waking, then 4-5hrs after the next sample and so on

According to my doc, the Saliva tests should actually be done within 5 minutes of waking up in the morning following with the next two about 4 hours apart from each other and the last one taking place right before going to bed.

It is best to take the test when it can be returned or mailed back to the lab right away but you can keep overnight in the freezer until you get it mailed after the weekend as that is also recommended. Another reminder is to avoid caffeine as my doc told me and I've read this can affect your levels.
