An opinion please on Vit B12 and what is being looked for in 24 hr. urine test.

Just had blood tests back Vit B 12 result 1424 ng/L range 130.0 - 1100.0.

Have been told to have 24 hr. urine test.

Calcium also OTT 2.69 mmol/L range 2.10 - 2.60 this is the corrected calcium serum level.

Thoughts please.

You have a good Vit B12 range. It doesn't matter if it's over - any excess is excreted.

Someone will comment on the urine and calcium question.

for the calcium you will probably get re-tested and they should do a PTH test too (para-thyroid-hormone), if you are on calcium supplements do tell your GP.

your b12 is good if it's that with no supplements I wish I was you

Thanks nobodysdriving. I will ask for PTH test. Am on Ad-cal D3 two a day.

Not supp B12, but feel very grotty. I wonder if 24 hr. urine test is for calcium.
