Trouble wiping bottom!!! :-(((

Hi Im really embarressed but need some help and advice-I am struggling to wipe my bottom,It hurts when I turn my side round to the right-has anyone else experienced this before? I have never had trouble before and im not sure whats causing it-any help would be appreciated :-))

Hi, yes I sometimes struggle too! I developed fibromyalgia at around the same time as IBS but have only been diagnosed today, possibly you may have as the two are sometimes linked, although not always. Alternate option - get someone to wipe it for you? No, perhaps not, unless you have to! I always find I can reach more easily standing up than sitting down, so tend to 'catch the drips' from weeing first and then stand and wipe my bottom. What a conversation!! Byex

baby wipes, I swear by them, I always use them for a number two, its just easier than scrubbing away with tissue and its a pain but take a shower down below each time you go for a poo.

Good tip that -using baby wipes ,especially when visiting friends and you`ve used all their loo roll !

Had loads of aches and pains with IBS, 2 plus years of it. In April when not told IBS but given tablets etc., when advised antidepressants which I refused in Aprill, took over and rang coeliac uk in desperation..explained abdominal problems etc., and no progress, they advised soya milk and later lactose free. On top of that I started vit B tabs then multi vitamins, have made huge improvement. No more arthritic type pains, or ligament s. no more medication. IBS is a big problem but for me as a coeliac it may have been milk the cause after all...but only coeliac uk gave suitable advise..and not medication advise. I had asked frequently for help but was given meds wasnt even told it was IBS. So take care and best wishes for your condition.
